What does secure data destruction have to do with the mining industry? More than you might think.

At ProDevice, we don’t see data security as something limited to IT environments, data centers, or office infrastructure. Wherever electronic devices store sensitive information, there is a need to make sure that data can be securely and permanently destroyed. Mining is a great example.

During the 15th International Conference on Mining Techniques – TUR 2026, our engineer Paweł Wojda delivered a presentation on: “Application of a deflasher for the destruction of non-volatile memory in equipment used in mining”

It’s another example of how our technology can go far beyond the most obvious applications.

Specialized electronics are used across industries: from IT and telecommunications to manufacturing, critical infrastructure, and mining. Different environments bring different challenges, but one requirement remains the same: when sensitive data reaches the end of its lifecycle, it needs to be destroyed securely, effectively, and irreversibly.
