Its infrastructure includes various types of devices, from traditional hard disk drives and SSDs, to smartphones, tablets and other electronic media.<br>The company needed a secure and efficient way to dispose of these media, while following a clearly defined internal procedure. For magnetic media, the process required two stages: first, irreversible data destruction through degaussing, followed by physical destruction of the media. Other types of media required physical destruction only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With a significant volume of devices to process, the customer was looking for a solution that could support both workflows while keeping the entire process fast, simple and secure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ACTION TAKEN BY THE CUSTOMER<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What steps has the IT company taken?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Reviewing available solutions<\/strong><br>The team focused on solutions capable of handling different types of media while supporting both degaussing and physical destruction within a secure and efficient workflow.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Securing the budget<\/strong><br>This ensured that the planned process could be introduced without compromising the required level of security, efficiency or operational capacity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Assessing the available space<\/strong><br>Particular attention was given to the available space within the data center, including the requirements for positioning the equipment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SOLUTIONS RECOMMENDED BY PRODEVICE<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Integrated data destruction with ProDevice DAC<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1440\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pro-device.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/bezpieczne-niszczenie-danych.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-91909\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ProDevice recommended the DAC system, combining the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-device.com\/en\/produkt\/asm240\/\">ProDevice ASM240<\/a> Ultimate degausser with the ProDevice<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-device.com\/en\/produkt\/dgx03\/\"> DGX03 shredder<\/a> in one integrated solution.<br>For magnetic media, the recommended procedure consists of two consecutive stages: degaussing followed by physical destruction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-device.com\/en\/produkt\/dac\/\">DAC system<\/a>, degaussed media pass directly into the destruction chamber, eliminating the need to transfer them manually between separate machines.<br>For flash-based and other non-magnetic media requiring physical destruction, the degaussing stage is omitted and the media are sent directly for shredding, provided they are compatible with the DGX03.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This approach allowed the customer to maintain its internal security procedure while making the destruction process faster, simpler and easier to manage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"349\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pro-device.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/04d4df94-605d-4302-a199-51a2004c713e-1024x349.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-92835\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pro-device.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/04d4df94-605d-4302-a199-51a2004c713e-1024x349.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.pro-device.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/04d4df94-605d-4302-a199-51a2004c713e-300x102.png 300w, https:\/\/www.pro-device.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/04d4df94-605d-4302-a199-51a2004c713e-768x262.png 768w, https:\/\/www.pro-device.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/04d4df94-605d-4302-a199-51a2004c713e-1536x523.png 1536w, https:\/\/www.pro-device.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/04d4df94-605d-4302-a199-51a2004c713e-2048x698.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Secure media storage and controlled collection<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ProDevice also recommended introducing controlled storage for media awaiting further processing or destruction.<br>Within the data center, available space in existing 19&#8243; server racks can be used with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-device.com\/en\/produkt\/mss\/\">ProDevice MSS<\/a> (Modular Storage System), converting rack space into dedicated, controlled media storage.<br>For larger-scale or distributed media collection, the process can be extended with ProDevice SMC smart containers.
